Ninjabearhug is a fellow member of the great Sega8bit forums, and he had decided to get rid of some of his old and duplicate systems. Having heard me complain about my need for a Commodore 64 following the Retro Fusion '08 event, he offered me one he was getting rid of. Then he asked if there was anything else I wanted...

Obviously there was. Brilliantly, he had several things on the list. After a few days of discussion, it became apparent that sending this lot via carrier would be very expensive, so he suggested we meet up half-way (since we live quite far apart - about 130 miles).

Today was the day. We met up, had a bit of a chat, then exchanged money for retro goodies. Here's what I got:

Definitely worth the 130 mile round-trip and the three hours of driving! But that picture is quite boring - you don't see much. Let's open up some boxes and see what's inside. First off: the C64, since that's what started it:

All complete and in good condition. There are some more games to go with it: (sorry about the picture quality)

Next up, we have the Atari Jaguar - a system I've been wanting to get ahold of for many years.

It's all complete and in very good condition - two of the games are even sealed! Not for long, though! :)

Then there's the Philips CD-i (model 220) with a bunch of games:

It's unboxed, but works great - I've been playing it quite a bit since getting it. :) Here's a close up of the games, so you can see what I got:

Next up, we have the box of Spectrum tapes:

Also in the first picture are two SNES Super Scopes (boxed) -- one for me and one for Moobert -- and a Barcode Battler (complete) I didn't deem these interesting enough to require separate pictures - but they're cool enough. :)

Quite a haul, eh? I'm very pleased with it all. Not that I've had a chance to get through it all - I'm still working through games and systems I bought months ago (I'm not even joking!). Many thanks once again to Ninjabearhug!

Glad you're enjoying them :).

Glad you're enjoying them :). I'd rather the stuff went to someone who was going to enjoy and take good care of them than a reseller ;).

Oh yeah, i found the 3D glasses that go with the C64, i'll post them after the bank holiday.
