I'm Aypok and I like video/computer games. I also like buying lots of new games and systems to add to my ever-increasing collection. That's what this site is about; my collection and new additions to it.
I started off buying Amiga and Mega Drive games on eBay back in 2001, but also moved on to buying Sega Master System games shortly after (since that was my first console). After a few years of buying Master System games, and my introduction to the Sega8bit forums (it's mainly populated with collectors), my collecting habbit went in to overdrive.
Most of my new stuff comes from car boot sales, but a significant portion comes from people I meet on gaming and collecting forums. Practically nothing comes from eBay these days (because they've gone down the drain), but a few items come from various other auction sites, such as Chase The Chuck Wagon and Game Gavel.
Currently, all of the games are housed in, on and around five Billy bookcases (from Ikea) - as well as covering the floors, desks, sofa and any other free space I can find around here. Pictures will be coming shortly, once I've finished re-organising everything (not a small task!).
Despite being a collector, I do actually play them. To that end, I have quite a nice setup with many consoles and systems all hooked up to my TVs through a bank of AV switchers. Here's a slightly outdated picture, but it shows what I mean:
All systems are ready to play at the flick of a switch, with power, AV and controllers all connected and ready to go.
I've mentioned that I collect video games, but I have yet to mention what systems I collect for. In short: everything. If I don't have it, I'll buy it (sports titles are generally exempt, however). That is especially true of computers/consoles.
Having said that, I'll generally restrict myself to buying games that look like they'll be fun, with the exception of the Sega Master System and Nokia N-Gage - I go out of my way to "collect" for those two systems.
